Outdoor Pursuits

This past weekend I should have been on a backpacking trip with my outdoor pursuits class. It would have been a great experience for myself. Sadly, I was not able to go bacause I had to go to New York for field hockey games. Since I missed the trip, Mr. Smith is making me write a 15 page paper! I am not to happy about that. I hope at some point in my life i get to go on a backpacking trip, it would have been a lot of fun!

Lost a Heartbreaker

We finished up our game vs C.W. Post a few hours ago. It was a heartbreaking loss that's still kind of aching. We lost 2-1 in double overtime. We have a hard time finishing and getting the ball in the back of tha cage. I hope we can fix this by tomorrow so we can come back to SRU with a W.

10 hour bus ride!

Just made it to the hotel in New York after a ten hour bus ride from Slippery Rock! I love my teammates to death, but being stuck on a bus that long with them can make the most sane person go nuts. On our way in we got to drive over the George Washington Bridge that runs along New York City. It was awsome to get to see city from the bridge with the sunset. We just got done having our team meetings and now most of us are either resting up or doing homework. Tomorrow at 9am we have a game vs. C.W. Post! If we play well our coach said we will get to go into the city tomorrow! We are all super excited and ready to play. We have a great chance to mend our losing record this weekend. I know we can do it!

Yesterday's Game.

Last night we had a game against rival IUP. IUP is a very good team when it comes to field hockey and I feel we held them very well last night. They went into this season ranked number one in our conference and we were ranked in last. So for us to hold them to a score of 0-1 is a big deal. We had a lot of chances to score and its upsetting that we did not, but finishing is something we need to work on. We have two games this weekend in New York, I'm hoping we can pull out a couple of wins!

Busy Week at SRU

Out of all my weeks at SRU, this has been one of my craziest weeks. Between classes, field hockey, clubs, and homework, I am running around like crazy. I am in six different clubs on campus and every single one of them have called a meeting this week. I literally have been going non-stop each day. To add to the madness, me and all my teammates will be shoved in a bus for a ten hour ride to New York to play two games this weekend. I'm ready for the week to be over already!
